Hello Miss Sahara –
Oh how nice to see you’re among the well and thriving ;). I like this poem also and omelets are my favorite, for real. I love them. Thank you for your nice words regarding my poem 🙂

Hi Corinne –
I’m glad you enjoy my poem and omelets are the best ;).

Oh my hidden talent! That is about all the ‘O’ I know…. I had to go look up Onager

Hey Yoga –
First off, so nice to see you back…so welcome home ^5. I’m glad you like my poem. As you’ve noticed, I spend most of my time writing funny stories about real life situations but…once in a while I will dive in to poetry. My dabble thing here :P.

Outstanding poem by a talented writer who is obsessed with the alphabet “O”….OMG
#10 by charlie nitric on June 30, 2011 - 12:12 pm
Hi Sulukha –
“Outstanding” are nice words for me to hear from you. Thank you for that compliment. “O”s every where, lol. Cool, huh! 🙂

Part of me wants to say, your shaped poem has small hips, large bust… but that’s only part of me, the part of me that can’t pass up the easy observation. The other part of me (or, at least, the larger part of me) is awed by the depth and beauty of your poem. I particularly enjoyed the internal rhythm, the subtle release from the “of” in the middle section into the imbalance of the final three lines. Yes, and omelet — I agree — is a delicious touch. It reminds me (don’t ask me why the reminder) of John Donne’s “The Flea.” Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jay –
Let me put it to you this way, Jay. Much of your assessment is accurate with one big exception; up top part. That’s would never ever be a deal breaker for me. By the way, this girl was never my girlfriend or anything like that. Thank you for reading me and for commenting. 🙂

i wonder who is she? she made you a poet. you are different, not the charlie i know of, your this side is strikingly supersonic.
loved the poem.
#14 by charlie nitric on June 30, 2011 - 12:26 pm
Hi Sancheeta –
Just a single mother whom crossed my path at a point in my life a few years ago. We didn’t have anything together but more like a brief verbal relationship and attraction. I discovered later that she had a fiance and lived with him. I’m grateful we never interacted intimately what so ever. 🙂

Hi Rachel –
I’m glad you read my poem and enjoy it. I know how much you adore poetry and often, my poems are similar to yours as far as humor, simplicity, and easy flowing read to it. This poem however, has much hidden depth and sometimes I do these sorts of poems as well. 🙂

That poem Charlie is surprisingly shaped like a beer glass. How many before you could write that?
#20 by charlie nitric on July 3, 2011 - 1:08 pm
Hi Jim –
The shape does have some symbolism to it but non-related to a beer glass. 🙂
